Hall Happenings by Sean MacIntosh Marian Hall has been active over the past week. With the memorial service for the National Week of Ac- tion and the singing of the Marian Aide Song for Joe Ghiz, it was indeed a busy time. In the Service for the Underfunding of Education, the Marian Hallers all wear- ing their new hockey shirts and lead by the house Com- mittee, followed the coffin containing the remains of ”"Ed” from the Pit to the Barn where a eulogy was given by the Rev. Barry Linkletter. Then came the Irish Wake where a number of Marian Hallers were taken to dancing and much revelry. On Friday Joe Ghiz spoke in the Pit after which the Hallers, again wearing their spiffy new shirts, enter- tained the Premier and the G. We -would like to see as many people get involved as pos- sible. Presently, the com- mittee is made up of Bill Whelan, Chairman; Cathy Ronahan, Janice Smith, and Darlene Llewellyn, Bernar- dine Hall Reps; Dave Val- ley and Dave Perry, Mar- Residence- ian Hall Reps; Paula Gau- thier and Mark McKellar, Blanchard Hall Reps; and Sharon Mullin, University official Rep. Upcoming events include a Ski Trip to Brookvale on Friday, January 29, 1988. All residents who are inter- ested, can meet the bus be- hind Marian Hall at 12:30 pm. The costs include $3.00 for the bus trip and $5.00 for skis, boots, and tow. We will be returning to Marian Hall at about 5:30 pm. Don’t for- get, the slopes are a great place to meet people. Keep an eye on the Resi- dence Column in the Gem for other events throughout the semester. If anyone has ideas for activities, please contact Bill Whelan at 566-0674 or any member of the commit- tee. Andrew (Nude) Selig, writer of the song, said that for anyone interested, the Marian Aide Video would be out soon and that ’The Guys © Form Marian” were going to sign a record deal any day now. The video, now in pro- duction, will star all of the members of the Hall and is being filmed in the Charlot- tetown area. Last weeks House Party was a huge success with ap- proximately 250 people in attendance. Due to | overwhelming popularity Happy Hour, the bar , sold out by 11:00. The cro loved the new D.J.
