was down at the place to search for
the body Dope Kelly found the body
three feet north of where it went
down and. Joe Hingly brought _the
body up. The bit was still in his
mouth and the line was wound several
times around his hand. It must have
been about Zlfhours before the body was
_ secured. It was brought to town and J
AC. Minnis and George Scver of Dallas
Center, enbalmed it and it was then
taken out to his home 3 miles east of
Milburn. Funeral occured from the house
Rev. V. Harrington taking charge of the
services. Interment in Brown’s cemetery,
George Malcolm McCallum was born
in Brudnell, Prince Edward Island,
1August 4, 1878, and would have been 23
years old this coming August. With his
parents he came to Iowa in 1881 and
_eight years moved to _where they now
fl-ive. Father, mother, seven brothers
and four sisters mourn his untimely
death. ' A
George was well known, was generous,
,kind and thoughtful. He was gentle-
manly and always had a pleasant word

and had a bright future before. him.

visited P. E. Island about a year or two
