Dear Editor: . In reference to the present- aticn of the Deans' List in "Topics", I was wondering what native was behind differentiating the [sans' list students by way of former Island high schools. Why must university students be constantly associated with their former high schools? Also it discriminates against non—Island students who get clumped at the end in rather a discriminatory tanner. I can't see why the names aren't just listed in alphabetical order. "Clumped at the End", Dear Editor, I w as disappointed w hen I read lastiveek's SUN and you had not printed the list of studentsxtho made the Deans List. first senr ester. The Narch 9th is- sue of Topics carried this list. I had hoped your papervvould have done the same. Iwas glad to see that a fair nuM>er of Panther and Lady Panther athletes made this so- called pres- tigeous list. Nale and female Ice Hockey teams, the Baskefiaall, Field Hockey and Foofiaall teams were well represented. Iwas very pleased to note that there are at least 6 members of the Fooib all Panthers who had an 80% average or higher during the first semester a. (the same semester that they spentbe’tween 15 and 20 hours aweek, for over two months, practising or playing this inter- collegiate sport). Congratulations to all athletes, as well as all the others who made— the Deans list. ‘G.M. You deserve a break" March 2I THE LENNY AND ROY" WED. nights 6230—1 1: o, ‘ .
