With attendance nearly doubling From last year, this event is obviously establishing itself as a worth while evening. Our guest speaker, Premier Brian Peckford, gave an inspirational talk on economic regionalism. This timely topic was extremelyAinteresting, and we were certainly. honoured to be the first stop in Premier Peckford's speaking tour which includes Toronto and New York. This semester is drawing rapidly to a close, but relax, there is still one more Business Pub to anticipate. This ~pub promises to be lots of fun, so watch posters for details. Business Society Mugs have arrived and are' very attractive. Be sure to pick one up when they go on sale, but be early as there is a limited quantity. Another important event approaching is the election of next year's Business Society's executive. The positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and ClaSS' Representatives from each year. Give it some serious thought. It's a great experience, and we need your help! The Belvedere Golf and Winter Club was recently the scene of a "Funspeil" sponsored by the UPEI Business Society. Over sixty members, some experienced curlers, some not, spent an enjoyable afternoon and evening showing off their form or lack of it. The championship game was a close one with Skip Dave MacFadgen coming out on top over Skip Wélter lsenor (And he told us he was rustyl). Dave's team consisted of Beecher Gillis, Debra - Good, and Denise McGowan. The runner's up, skipped. by Walter lsenor, included Lloyd onlan, Ronnie u MacKenzie, and Sandra Drysdale. Winners of the Consolation flights were #l - Greg Maden, Ron ’ Smith, Derwin “Satch” Banks, and Nanci MacDOnald. Brian Rodd's team consisting of Treva, MacNally,>Rgn'Collins,j’ and Richard Moore Were? ,victdrious in the Flight' #3 division. _ This enthUSiastlc event will certainly be back _ again next Winter.'
