B II S I II e 'S S by nary Pnne Hutchinson I have'no alternative but to begin this column with an apology. In the last issue of the Sun, this re- porter referred to tire Diffy Building .as the En- gineering Building. It has since been pointed out to me by the more worthy oc- cupants of the building, namely, the Biology stu- dents, that Duffy has ' ' never, does not now, nor will likely ever in the future, belong to the En- gineering students. I apol- ogize for assuming that it did. ' . ' .In sane article I ‘ also referred to the En- . gineering students as -be- ing "grubby". I now re— tract that statement. At the football game on Fri- day I noticedbne or two players on tl'e Engineer- ing squad who were not grubby. 'Ihey may hav—e_ been extremely soiled, but I could not go so far as to say that they were grubby. At this point I must - embark from this ridiculous flattery of Engineers and seriously cement en the conduct’of certain members of their football team. Led by our supposedly impartial referee Vince Mulligan, they insisted on negating the fine play of our team to the point where they an- nounced the final score to be 8-7 in favour of their team. I might add that 'students' Rowe and Car— michael were particularly abusive, and went so far as to telephone CIIVN and demand that their version of the score be telecast campus—wide. me to the . controversy which shrouded the game, the kind—hearted Business Society donated a free beer to every play-' er, on both sides. Our gen— erousity‘ was taken advan"- tage of , Irmever, as one or two engineers (who shall. main nameless). succeeded in conning us out of extra beer. We will not forget this. It must Enoted ‘ here that the turn-out Of players wasexcellent for both teams, particu- larly the Business squad. We had enough bodies tum . out to fill 3 teams, with . the result that we were . able to field 2 full teams against the Engineers as well as Norm Bishara's » seasoned squad against the Day Students (we killed ' than) / ‘ Allinall, agoodtine .Washadbyeyermrand 0 Ci ety“ *V . Doth rumour also have it that, this tine, theywillbuythebeer?we hope sotllltttlltlt» Other business - (no pun intended) - Orders were taken four our jackets this week, with limited : response. Therefore, they will be available next ‘ ‘week in Kelly Building, during reasonable hours, every day. The UPEI Sun,"Ihursday, Oct. 20, 1977, page 7 PUBHC)APOLOGY Neict Wednesday is the lni htltlltl The second Busmess party will be held on the 2nd floor of the Barn, fran 9-12:30. As usual, neubers of the Bus. Soc. will receive their conplimentary beer. We know we'll 'have a good turn—out of Freshmen and Sophonores because they can't bear to miss any- thing free. We'd like to suggest that the Juniors and Seniors put in an ap- pearance before their course loads get any heavier. It's amazing hon the rigours of Marketing and Policy can turn a per— fectly normal student into a shaking, ‘ perspiring escapee from the looney bin. So choose to drink no» for enjoyment, before you have to drink later for sanity. m that note, I'll close for now - happy mid—terms and stay tuned for next week's issue.
