ment of Canadian Artillery, Victoria,
are afflicted with the Canadian Lab-
or Congress, and not with the Inter-
national Federation of Musicians to
which the bandsmen of the Sixth
Duke of Oonnaught's Own, Vancouv-
er. as well as a number of wcatern
civillian bands belong, have culminat-
ed in a hot. campaign, which even
goes as lar as incipient mutiny, when
considered from the military stand-
point.

scale, a few months ago secured the
contract for park music 'here during
the present year. When the supply of
music for the annual exhibition of
this autumn was under debate, notvce
/vas served bv the band of the Sixth
the Victoria and the Nanaimo City
Bands, that if any work wore given
the non-union Fifth, no other hands
Sixth went further, and announced
that its hand would not appear on
nny parade in which the Fifth Regi-
Band should have a place.
