I am writing on be halt of our Provincial Chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Association to express our de- light and gratitude with the results of your 1989 C.F. Shinerama Campaign. The significant increase of 21 per cent in contributions clearly demonstrated the value of your leadership and organizational skills. Please convey our most sincere gratitude to your ambitious committee members and all freshmen students in- volved and invite them to continue to work towards contributing to our programs so that one day we may all join in rejoicing the announcement that a cure or control for this dreaded disease has been discovered. Yours gratefully in Cystic Fibrosis, Steve B. Connolly Chapter President Hall Happenings Hi there everyone, the boys are back and would like to extend a warm welcome back to all UPEI students for this yeaar. This year the freshmen were treated to the usual invitation “ceremonies”, with a few “twists” thrown in. Seems a few of our boys from third floor were caught swimming in the fountain at Con- federation Centre while clad only in their underwear. The meant a return for many of the upperclassmen. Word has it that Chuck and Slink are back in res- idene at Marion and they are still partying constantly in one return to school also of the corner rooms on second floor. We hope that that their sincere apologies are accepted by the residents of the Marysfield and Belevedere area as well as the residents of Bernardine Hall for the ”excessive” noise levels. Tony “the weasle” MacKenzie has re- turned as House President, and last but not least Chad “the Great Gatsby” Butt as Treasurer. So far the house committee has been doing a great job, so keep up the good work. Anyway, that’s enough for this week dudes, just a few lines to let you all know that the Pitbulls are still alive liable sources have Don Gunning back as head of the hockey Pitbulls, building another and kickin.
