Miss Janie Batchilder played the wedding march and appropriate hymns were beautifully sung by the Girl’s Choir. The altar wag adorned with pink and white snapdragons and white chrysanthemums. The bride, giv- en in marriage by her father, wore a cocktail length gown of white peau de soie, featuring a Sabrina neckline and fitted bod- ed skirt of imported French lace. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held for sixty guests at the Rainbow Room of the Bison Restaurant in Montague. The table was beauti- fully decorated, the bride’s table being centered with a three ticr- ed wedding cake, adorned with under an arch of tiny white rose- buds. Mrs. J. W. Lavers, aunt of guest book. Mr. J. W. Lavers acted as toast- master for the occasion and cal- led upon Const, Ron Pettitt. R C.M.P., who proposed the toast toe the Queen. Rev. Denis Gallant very fittingly proposed the toast to the bride and groom. This was responded to by the groom. The young couple then left on a short motor trip through the Maritime Provinces.
