~ THE LONG COURSE.-On Friday
evening Dr. .P, C. Gautheir of Palmer
Road, addressed the Long Course
students in agriculture at P. W. Col-
lege. He spoke on the value of en-
thusiasm in work and said that it
would be better for them not to try
to farm .at all unless _they llkcd_ it,
and were prepared to go at it an-
thusiastlcally. He thought there
were never such openings for farmers
as there ware at the present time,
ut that farmin toda had to bo
lnada pay. I-Ilrremambcred very well
the time when farming was done by
a great expenditure of strength and
energy and the profits were not very
great, but today machinery has done
so much, that it is brains that is
needed, rather than strength. Ha

much appreciated. This is tho first
