Elitekey: I Fashion Things, a new large exhibition of Micmac Indian crafts from before the first contact with white men until the present, is now on View at Confederation Centre Art Gallery and Museum in Charlottetown. The exhibit includes a wide range of materials, 1 tools, and techniques used by the Micmacs in the creation, over the centuries, of their distinctive material culture. ‘ Also on display are shell beads made from the shell—fish found along the coasts of the Maritimes, birch- bark utensils, and some excellent moosehair embroidery on birchbark. Elitekey will remain on View at Con— federation Centre Art Gallery and Museum until Sunday, October 25.
