OTTAWA (GP) -— Prime Min- ister Diefen-baker Thursday an- nounced details of the “friendly and quite informal” program ar- ranged for the four-day visit of starting July 8. Highlights of the July Ball visit as far as the general public is concerned will be the president’s address to a joint sitting of the Canadian Commons and Senate and his placing of a wreath at the National War Memorial. both in the morning of July 9. There‘ will be at least two con- ferences involving the president, the prime minister, Secretary of State Dulles and External Affairs Minister Smith. The visiting party will consist Eisen- hower. Mr; and Mrs. Dulles and members of the president's per- sonal staff. The president’s last Ottawa visit was in November, 1958. Mr. Diefenbaker visited Washington briefly last October, accompany- ing the Queen and Prince Philip there.
