MACGUIGAN MEMO- RIAL BURSARY This bursary, valued at $500, is available to Island students pursuing graduate or professional studies es- pecially in the area of law. All inquiries applications is normally in July. LEGAL STUDIES FOR ABORIGI- NAL PEOPLE Students should keep in mind that many law schools have other bursary and scholarship programs which do not involve spe- cial application procedures. Ten scholarships are avail- able to Metis and status Indian students in- terested in attending law school. The scholarship in- cludes a pre-law orientation program plus assistance to cover study and living ex- penses while in law school. More information is avail- able from Student Services. How- ever, do try to drop by and check our job board as you are passing through the li- brary. We have job orders coming and going during the week which time does not permit to advertise in this column. For exam- ple, last week Air Canada requested the applications of interested candidates for exciting summer positions as Flight Attendants (train- ing provided) for locations across Canada. Some employers do re- quest resumes even for summer jobs*and particu- larly for permanent. posi- tions. Therefore, it is a good idea to have one pre- pared so you are not caught scrambling.
