The ceremony in which the -Queen was crowned was perform- ed in mid-afternoon with the Hon. T. W. L. Prowse, Lieutenant Governor of the Province. having the enviable honor of receiving a kiss from the beautiful queen af- ter placing the crown on her head and presenting her with a bouquet of roses. The friendly rivalry to stage the finest and most interesting exhibit justified the many hours Fire In Rooms Of Air Force Ass'n A fire alarm, about 2 am. Sun- day morning. touched off by the release of a recently installed sprinkler system in the Journal Building. led to discovery of a fire which completely destroyed a big lounge chair in the Air Force Wing Association rooms in the building, filling the place with smoke, and resulting in minor loss or damage by water, to some paper stock located in the Journal basement. The fire originated in the lounge chair in a corner of a room on the ground floor, and as the chair was destroyed by flames the heat touched off one of the sprinklers near the ceiling and directly above the chair, and resulted in the soundingof the automatic fire alarm. Firemen quickly responded to the general fire alarm sounded by the police, and in removing the .emnants of the chair to the street eliminated the danger of the fire spreading through the building.
