HALIFAX, Dec. 22 — (CP) - Some 3.000 fans watched Dart- mouth Arrows fulfill a promise to- night to reach first place tn the Maritme Senior Hockey League before Christmas — by defeating Halifax St. Mary's 4-2.

Although they share the top rung with idle Moncton Hawks, Arrows were a. happy team as they left the ice in Halifax Fdcum. They began the uphill climb from the League cellar, and returned to it several times before hitting the jackpot.
