FOR THE FARMERSF-The new limestone pulverizer imported by the Provincial Department oi Ag- riculture has arrived on the Island and iii being set up at Bloomfield. This machine which weighs 3600 tons is capable oi grinding two ions oi limestone per hour. crush- ing and pulverising it as it comes direct from the quarry. lt is expect- ed that the machine will be ready ior operation in a few days.

-FOTATO DlGGlNQ-Potato digging, being the order oi the day since the 1st lnst., is now about completed. The weather man on his part did more than justice, but farmers are-inclined to hold their potatoes, on account oi low market which ranges from 50c to 55c Der bushel at present, with reports that 60c has been paid by some buyers. Still the- demand ior potatoes abroad ls not very satisiactory.—-

HOME ON A Vi8lT.-Mr., John Grezory oi the Halifax Shipyards is visiting his home in Charlotte- town. Mr. Gregory is a son oi Ml‘. and Mrs. Samuel Gregory, St. Av~ ards. He holds a good position as acetelyne welder in the shipyard» and has been absent from the ls- land two years at which time he spent ti. month here. Previous to this he was employed in Henry Ford's automobile works in De- troit, Michigan. Acetelyne welding is a comparatively new business in the Maritime Provinces the nearest plant being located at Moncton.
