Mrs. Emery Mac- Neil reported that she had made i‘lve sick calls during the month. on the new visiting committee are Mrs. Leonard Gulls and Miss sue I-lemphill. Final arrangements were made ior the st. Patrick's bean supper and entcrtairunent. A del- egation from the Canadian be- gion, comprising comrades R. Martin, E. B. Maciilnnon, and A.F. Campbell visited the meeting Ind discussed plans with the lad- ies for catering at the annual Le- gion convention which is to be held in Montague this year. on February 8, the meeting of the Farmers’ Federation of Agri- culture was held in the whim Road school. The meeting was very well attended and great enthusiasm was shown. The purpose or the meeting was to receive the farm- ers’ vote with regard to establish- ing a marketing board to handle potatoes and eggs. Almost every- one present Joined the Federation. Mr. Cecil Campbell and Mr. Webb Nicholson were confirmed as re- presentatives iram the district., with Mr. Miles Macxinnon as an’ alternative delegate.

Once again continuing their win- ning streak, the Montague Bison Bourbon detected the Murray River squod by the score of 5-4 at Mon- tague on Monday night.

Although the game was slow during the iirst two periods. it sported up during the third ses- sion with both teams playing a iast game oi hockey. The Bombers, however. held the edge through- out the game, but Gosbee, the Murray River goalie proved equal to their attacks and snapped out many that looked labelled (or the net. A clean game all the way through, the boys gave a good ex- hibition to the spectators.
