Graded egg shipments in car- lots or less were quoied at 30 to 31 cents a dozen for A large and 28 to 29 forA medium.

Butter was quoted at 21 1-2 to 22 cents per pound for carlots or less oi no 1 while lots to retailers were 23 1-2 cents for Solldg and 2.4 for prints.

Cheese was unchanged at 12 cents per pound for no 1 Ontario colored, main lino arriving.

MONTREAL, March 13-Pound sterling declined 3-32 cent on Montreal foreign exchanges today to $4.97 5-32 while the United States dollar was up 1-32 oi one per cent at 1-32 premium. The French franc eased a small am- ount at 6.63 15-32 cents.

NEW YORK, March 13—The Canadian dollar advanced 1-32 of one per cent on the foreign ex- change market ioday and closed at par while other major currencies declined. '

NEW YORK. March 13—Un- strung by hitches in European peace negotiations. (radrrs and investors again today tossed stocks overboard. While selling was somewhat less aggressive than on Thursday it served to hammer numerous mar- ket leaders clown 1 to 3 or more points.

Measured by the Associated Press average of 60 stocks the market de- clined 1.3 to 59.8. Transactions totalled 2.675.670 compared with 2,- 921,550 the previous day.
