The average hand has ill high-

Hands counting 14 points or more must always be npencd in any posi- tion - first, second, third or fourth hand.

With ill points. usually open the bidding. With 12 points, open the bidding if you have a good rabid - usually, a rebiddable five-card or longer suit, or two biddable four- card suits.

Remember to count your long- Sllifwpollits as well as your high- card points when valuing a hand for A suit-bid.
