(a) tresspass on any land for the purpose of cutting down Christmas trees thereon; or (b) cut down or attempt to cut down Christmas trees on any land.

Every person who violates any provision of this part shall be guilty of an offense and upon summary conviction shall be liable to a fine not exceeding
