reached his best success the spark of life was extinguished. MELVIN JAY, of York, passed away in hospital after a very brief illness. While not racing horses in many purse races yet he found time to develop and train several useful trotters and acers. He had a happy dispo ion which endeared him to those who came in contact with him. with the above we conclude our review oi the sport we have loved so well for so many years.
