ALTERNATE'TD PlGflN’ WHISTLE PLANNED
,‘RETURNIOF INVOLVEMENT ’77
On Monday night, groups six and seven (now labelled the Six-Packs and Sprightly Seven-Ups) of Involvement '77 held a meeting.
.This was to prove that Involvement '77 could be moro than a weekend in Murray River. The full attendance of both groups proved that.
The groups are organ- izing “an alternate to Fig 'n Whistle”.' They are planning a party open to all (but limited to approximately l50 people) to be held on a Thursday night in November. ’-
They felt that many people were not interested in going to Pigs or Jim's on Thursday night but had
.no other place to go.
The party will provide these people with some- thing to do.
Bert Tersteeg of the Music Department is going to arrange for one of the Department's big bands to play.

She indicated that there are many similarities be- tween PEI and Quebec re- garding development.
Quebec is,of course, displaying its dissatis— ’ faction in a, ” much more overt manner.“ ".
" The problem with PEI is that people are‘ afraid, even worse, apa- thetic.”
As pointed out by one student: ” Similar comp laints are being expressed in economically depressed regions through-out Can- ada.” ;

The Editor also announced a new deadline for all - articles. It Will be the Friday before the week the paper goes out. The only
