WALKER-ON-TYNE, England (Reuters)\—The keel of a 27.500- ton ocean liner, largest ever built for the Canadian Pacific fleet, was laid Tuesday at the Vickers Armstrongs yard.

The liner, biggest passenger ship order for the River Tyne in more ‘than 50 years, will cost $23,000,000 and should be ready for launching early next year. She is expected to make her maiden voyage in the spring of 1961.
