Two mportant matches were play- ed off this week in the semi-finals in the tournament now under way at the Summcrsldc Tennis Courts. These were in the men’s singles and were between W. R. McDonald and A. E. Harris, the result being a win _ for the former, the scores were 6-1, i 6-4, 3-6, 8-6.
