A very successful dance was held in the new Legion Home on Easter Monday evening. The dance hall was attractively decorated with flags and red. white and blue streamers. Good music was furn- ished by the Western Five and novelties added to the evenings fun. During the evening lunches were available in the clubroom.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hardy presided It the monthly meeting of the Adult Club which was held in the United Church hall Mon- day evening. Mr. and Mfrs. R. E. McDonald acted as secretary of the meeting. The devotional pericd was led by the minister. Rev. P. A. Fitzpatrick. who gave it brief talk on "The friends of Jesus." Following the business period two National Film Board pictures were shown-"The Four Seasons" and "Fitness Is A Family Affair." The projector was operated by Mrs. C. H. Weeks and Mrs. Arthur Wilkie. who have recently become qualified projectionists. Several contests were enjoyed and refreshments were served. A special feature of the evening was a talk by Mrs. Chester Palmer on her recent trip to the Pacific Coast. In Novem- ber she. left, by automobile with relatives for San Jose. To begin with. the site is ideal. Well-nigh three acres of high ground was secured. affording large and commodious playroom. at the same time furnishing sufficient distance from the highway.

MRS. MARY PERRY

--A wave of sadness was cast- over 1-lowlan on Tuesday morn-' lng. March 13th when it became

known that the Angel of Death had hovered over and this time claimed for its victim the soul of Mrs. Mary Perry at the ndyanccd age of 87 years. An invalid for the past fifteen years, deceased had only been ill during the past month of a heart ailment which proved fatal.

The late Mrs. Perry was born and brought up to the age of about 20 years in Rustico, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellze Peters. At that time she with her parents and family moved to Bloomfield Corner and settled on land now in possess- ion of Henry Pineau.

At that time this beautiful country was all wilderness and they carved a home for them- selves out oi the forest when there were no paved roads and not much more than mere paths at the time." After living in Bloomfield a year or two she met and married Peter Perry. Of this union three children were born to them. namely Catherine. who died of diphtheria at the age of nine years. Fermin on the home- stead and Edith. Mrs. Jerry Gal- lant of Howlan also two step daughters (Sophia) Mrs. Felix Dolron of Duvar and (Margaret) Mrs. Prank Gallant of Dorches- ter. Man. Her husband pre- deceased her flfteen years ago.

During her illness she was ten- derly carcd for by her niece. Miss Catherine Fury and othersof her family and friends and was fre- quently visited by her pastor. Rev. M. J. Rooney who anointed her and prepared her soul for her home-word journel.

Her funcrnl which was largely attended was held on Thursday morning at 9:30 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of which she wns a devoted member. The choir
