SUMMERSDE -— Tenders for, the removal of debris from the site and construction of a new building of the Sted-man Company Ltd., will becalled for in about two weeks, it was annOunced Saturday by J .E. The building will be constructed on the site of the former Brace- MacKay building on Water St., destroyed by fire last winter, Originally it was planned to call separate tenders for the clean up of the fire ruins and the construc- tion of the building.

W. C. Robertson Dies In S'Side

SUMMERSIDE —- W Chesley

Robertson, 58, died suddenly at the Prince County Hospital here Saturday. ' A well known figure here, Mr. Robertson, was ill only a brief time. He was in good health until he suffered a heart attack three weeks ago. ‘

Employed by Nicholson’s Dry Cleaners for the past eight years, he is a native of Caven- dish and for many years was prominent in the fox ranching in- dustry both here and in the Unit- ed States. He has resided in Sum- merside for the past 20 years.

He was a member of Trinity United Church and active in Church work.

Survivors include his ‘wife, the former Blanche Harding of Nor- boro; his mother, Mrs. W. E. Robertson a son William Ernest of Ottawa; three sisters Janet, Mrs. Maurice Mill, Frances, Mrs. Elmer Offer and Tillie, Mrs. Alward Barlow, all of Summer- side; three brothers, Maxwell, Summerside; Earl of Nechamc. N. J. and Herman, Long Island New York.

He is Melvin Dean Nimer, Jr., eight years old last Feb. 5. Being tives and friends say he always got along well with others, caused little trouble. A‘ teacher once wrote on his report card, “Dean is not easily offended and is very kind.”

Melvin is not the normal little lad he appears. He may be one

the recorded annals of crime. Or he may equally, well be a sorely beset youngster, shocked by grief into a dreamworld of fantasy, where hideous imagery has re- placed hide s reality.

The program is administered here by the Provincial Depart- ment of Agriculture and is spon- sored nationally by the Canadian Forestry Association with head- quarters in Montreal. ' To obtain official certification as a tree farm. a woodlot must have been properly managed for at least three years.

Any private timberland owner who meets the Tree Farm stand- ards can request to have his for- est land certified as a Tree Farm.

INITIAL PROCEDURE

Application forms are available on request from any Tree Farm Committee or from the Forestry Division, Department of Agricul- ture, Charlottetown. Each appli- cation form should be accompan- ied with a rough sketch of the pro- perty indicating its location.

On receipt of the application, a Forester will:

Check the application with one or more members of the Re- gional Committee;

Cruise and prepare a type map of the property; *

Check the property on the ground with the owner;

The Forester should, at this time, discuss management of the property with the owner and of- fer such advice as seems to be indicated.

Tree Farm standards are de- signed to correct these weakness, thus ’all four of the above should be forbidden.

A stand classification is helpful as a basis for stand treatment. The following is, suggested: 'Evenaged: Sapling mechanical thinning and liberation cutting; polewood thinning and improve- ment cutting; mature selection thinning, improvement, cutting, harvesting and regeneration; overmature harvesting and regen- eration.

That was taken to mean the prowler was about her husband’s size—5 feet, seven inches, weigh- ing about 160. From Melvin police drew a description of the man as wearing blue dunzarees and a blue striped shirt.

Dr. Nimer came to Staten Is- land from Phoenix, Ariz., last July. He was a surgeon at the U. S. public health service hos- pital at Stapleton, Staten Island. The Mormon family originally were from Orem, Utah.

There were several things that puzzled police as they ran down one lead after another in the case.

How had the murderous prowler got into and out of the Nimer house? There were no signs of a forced entry. And what \ as the motive? Nothing had been stolen.

There were two main schools of thought in the discussion that boiled around the cause.

COULD BE MONSTER

On the one hand there was ac- ceptance of the boy’s statement, which would make him a little monster, who loosed murderous fury on people who loved him and violated the strict tabu of all ages and all races against par- ricide. ' .

There was rejection of the boy's story also, a deep teeling that “he was mentally Ill and that Shock and grief forced him to take refuge in illusions. in which he associated himself with the real murderer.

Gormnented Dr. Margaret Mah- ler, a child psychiatrist:

“There is a 50 - 50 chance the boy has done what he says, but I do not know of other children his age who have performed such an not. At 12 01113 years, yes, but not at sigh .”
