CHRISTMAS CONCERT AT CORNWALL - The annual Christmas concert was held in the community hall Thursday night with a large gather- ing of parents and children and others. A fine program was en- joyed by those present. but the big event of the evening. especially for the children. was the arrival of jolly old Santa who managed to find his way to our village des- pite the frequent snow flurries which made the going a bit hard for his reindeers.

ALEXANDER CAMERON REACIIES 99TH MILESTONE - Mr. Alexander Cameron of Elms- dele. and one of the Island's old- est and highly-respected citizens. has reached his 99th birthday and (he Guardian joins with his host of friends in paying hll-n tribute. Descendant of real pioneer stock. Mr. Cameron has lived on the Is- land most of his long life. except for a few years in his younger days when he resided in the U. s. A. and in Winnipeg. In spite of his advanced age. Mr. Cameron still enjoys comp atively good health, takes the occasional stroll about Itlmsdale, and enjoys swap- ping yarns with oellers. who al- ways receive a cordial welcome in his home.

Mrs. Large was of a-sweet kindly nature. loved by all who knew her. she will be sadly mourned by her two daughters. Mrs. A. Robinson. Durham. N. H.. and Miss Martha who tenderly and lovingly cared for her to the last. Bell; an in- vilid for many years. she bore her sufferings with patience. Many were her good warts in love and charity. to those who needed her help in time of trouble. She will be sadly mourned and missed by her beloved daughter Martha. she leaves mourn grand children and great grand children. Her son passed away many years ago. Gordon and two daughters.
