In the Seigniorlal system adopted in New France, what obligations were required of (1) the selgneurs. (2) the habitanis?

The Seigneur received his land from the king to whom he had to take an oath of fealty and homage. He gave the king I stipulated military service as re- quired. Very friendly relations existed between them. This sys- tem was beneficial for a new col- ony because there wus protection and help for all against enemies. cold and hunger.
