Did you ever think a A .person gets sick and tired of hearing what a lot of people (perhaps not you) call filth. hIn your last issue you said that some of those words are quite common in books. Does that make it right to use them?

There seems to be a lot of people searching for self-ful- fillment around campus. Sure there's lots of beer parties, dances, and "other amusements" but I wonder if you're find— Jing the answer? It seems that these days everything goes. Don't kid yourself.

I know that after writing this letter I'll be considered one of the biggest squares on campus by all you hip character well, I'll tell you, I'd rather be a square than a triangle which is a square with some- thing missing. Perhaps if we stop and find that s ething missing, then the waggd would b be a better place to livs.

These people hava brought great prestige to our noble in- stitution-— by their fine die- plays of tamperment, and by the their_high standardsdin_§cach"‘ ing techniques, which in some cases are reflected by the team team's pugilistic prowess.

(Atlantic Ass. of Univer- sity Broadcasters) Con— ference, which was held at Dalhousie University in Halifax.

To our surprise Radio U.P.E.I. is not what we might say the "worst" Radio station in this organization, which includes just about all the universities in the Maritimes but we think that out of ten, we 4 would be rated as 7 or 8 which leaves us a lot of room for expansion.

we now find ourselw ves with the "bug" which is that everlasting pow— er, that makes us want to be no° 1.

As has been seen over the last few years, Radio U.P.E.I. has the equipment to be one of athe best Radio stations in the Maritimes, but it has alwaysbeen the lack of enthusiasm either on behalf of the management or the staff, which has caused a set back in our reaching ahead.

will start its long journey to the No. 1 spot, but that is only possible if we can get more part- icipation from the rest of the student body, thus giving us the choice to eliminate those who will interfere'with the better running of the station

in the past. ‘In the~past this has not been pos- sible, because of the lack of participation, and because of some sort of partial miss—manage- mant. For those who have been with the Radio sta- tion in the past, we do not want to sound as if you have been wrong and now we are coming along as the saviors, but rather we have learned from your mistakes, and by means of our personal incentive we feel that we are ready to try and take this giant step ahead to make Radio U.P.E.I. a worthwhile enterprise, and investment on your part. This is what most of you seem to forget, V that is, you are all part *owners of the station, and thus without you the the station will stay where it is now that is for a place for a D.J.
