ETTRICK. Scotland (AP)-Lord Napier and Eitrick, soldier and a member of one of Scotland's oldest families. died at his Castle Thirle- stane Monday. He was 53. He was the 13th Baron Napier and fourth Baron Ettrick. He was grouse shooting Sunday but complained of feeling ill early Monday and died within a couple of hours.

entered the church to the strains of the Lohengrin Wedding March played by Mrs. Winsloe Watts. she chose a floor-length grown of net over white satin, with a fitted lace bodice, and Sweetheart neckline, the long sheath sleeves were point- ed over the hand. Her floor-length veil was of bridal illusion, and was caught by a halo of white blossoms She wore a triple strand of pearls, and carried an arm bouquet of Red Sweetheart roses.

Mrs. (Rev) L. E. Blalkie was matron of honour, and wore a gown of pink taffeta, with net over the skirt, and ii lace bolero. She wore a. matching net piara, with silver niltts, and carried a nose- gay of white "mums.

Miss Donalda. MacPherson, bridesmaid, wore a gown of apple green net over taffeta, with match- ing mitts. Her headdress was a halo of yellow blossoms. and she carried a nosegay of yellow corn- flower.

Miss Shirley Craswell, brides- maid, chose for her gown, apple green net over taffeta. with a lace bolero, and matching mitts, her headdress was a halo of yellow blossoms, and she carried a nose- gay of yellow cornilowers.

Little Misses Mary Bernard and Sylvia Phillips were the flower girls. Mary wore it gown oi white orgondy, with a pink sash. and a. pink and white halo oi flowers. Sylvia wore 3, nile green taffeta gown, with a black velvet sash, and a halo oi pink flowers. They carried baskets of mixed flowers.

Mr. Randolph Nicholson. broth- or of the bride, was groomsman. The ushers were Mr. Basil Phillips, brother oi the groom, and Mr. Gor- don Stevenson, friend of the bride.

For her granddaughter! wedding Mrs. Rennie chose a dress oi black sheer over a black and white check- cd taffeta slip. with black and white accessories, She wore a cor- sage oi red roses. Mrs- Phillips the groom's mother, wore a navy lace dress. over is pink taffeta slip, with navy and pink acces- sories. and a corsage oi red roses.

During the signing oi the regis- ter, a violin selection "0 Perfect Love." was beautifully rendered by Mr. Basil Phillips.

The reception was held at the Queen Hotel. Charlottetown. The tables were decorated with flowers and lighted candles. The wedding cake was cut in traditional manner. by the bride and groom. The Rev. L. E. Blaikie offered grace, and later proposed a toast to the bride, which was responded to by the groom. During the reception a tele- gram of good wishes from the brides aunt, and cousin, in Scot- land was read by the groomeman

Following the reception, the couple left, amid showers of con- ietti, by car for points oi interest in the Marltimes. For traveling the bride wore a sky blue gabiirdine suit, with white accessories, and a corsage oi roses.

The bride presented the matron of honour with a gold compact. and the bridesmaids, and Organist with necklaces, and to the flower girls gold bracelets.

The groom's gifts to the grooms- mon, and ushers were gold tie pins.

A summer wedding waa solem- nised at st. Joachim's Church. Vernon River, on August A at D a. in. when Teresa Gertrude, daugh- ter of Mr. end Mrs. Alphonsus O'Donnell, Avandale, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Bennett Lorne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Mecarvllle, Kinkora, Reverend Father Urbm Gillie performed the double ring cere- mony and celebrated the Nuptlal Mass, assisted by Lloyd Gallant cousin oi the groom, and Gerard Gill. During the Nuptial Mass the choir under the direction of Father Slyvere Galluit. sang, "Mother, At Your Feet 1'm Kneeling", "0 Sacred Heart",.O Love Devine” and during the signing of the register "On This Day 0 Beauti- ful Mother". The bride. given in marriage by her father. chose a. floor-length gown of nylon scalloped with net over taffeta with fitted bodice oi net over taffeta and long sleeves tapered to points over the hands. she wore s fingertip veil held in place by a tiara oi rosebuds, and carried a white prayer book, a gift of the groom, trimmed with red roses and streamers of tiny flowers. The bride was attended by her sister, Ruth. as maid of honor, wearing a. floor-length gown of orchid net over satin with matching headdress and mitts,she carried a noaegay oi yellow mums. Bernice O'Donnell. sister of the bride, and Mary Mecsrviile, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaids and were ettired in similar gowns of pink and blue with m ching head- iffressv and mitts and carried nose- gays of red roses and purple mums. The groom was ably supported by his brother, Leo. The ushers were Ray Mccarville. brother of the groom. and Bernice O'Donnell, brother of the bride. The bride's mother chose for her daughter's wedding ll dress of lime green crepe with matching accesso in. Her corsage was oi yellow roses.

MES. HOWARD WEEKS

On August 4, the many relativek and friends oi Mrs. Howard Weeks were saddened to learn of her passing in the Prince County Hos- pital, after an illness of more than three months, during which time she suffered considerably but bore all her suffering with great pa- tience and christian fortitude.

She received the best in medical attention and skillful nursing and, on the above mentioned date went to be with her Saviour and Lord whom she loved.

The late Mrs. Weeks was a kind and loving wife and mother and one whose irienddly disposition, both young and old, was well- known and widely appreciated.
