| shape-changing Skrulls try to fuel the conflict by posing as both Kree and Shi’ar to provoke violence between the two races. The whole business adds up to some complex intergalactic intrigue, with the potential for lots of action and plot twists.

Pleasantly surprising is the attention to continuity in the series thus far. The story forms a coherent whole from chapter to chapter without inconsistencies in the script,and the various writers have obviously con- sulted each other extensively in planning the series. Even the characterizations are excellent in the midst of all this, as the writers accurately portray not only the individual characters but the way in which they relate to each other (a particular tip of the hat to Bob Harras and Roy Thomas, who have done an excellent job of fleshing out the various characters in the team

Allin all, Operation: Galactic Storm is shaping up to be an entertaining series with a large cast and an engaging plot, and it’s well worth your while even if you're notan Avengers fan. Chapters will include Captain America #398-400, Avengers West Coast #80-82, Quasar #32-34, Wonder Man #7-9, Iron Man # 278-279, Thor #445-446, and Avengers #345-347.
