Well, it's the end of another season of softball for the Engin- eering Squad and as usual the Engineers came out on top. Actually, right form our first win (the first game) we were destined for 1-he_World Series of Softball Championship.

The Engineers entered the playoffs in fine form, after strateg- ically building a few teams' confidence by purposely throwing the final 3 regular season games.

The first game was a pushover against a feable Marian Hall team led (Ha! Ha!) by Mark (give me a boust up to the next ' step) Murphy. The Engin— eers charitably donated Marian three runs, nice

The next game 'denonsté rated how the Engineers' superior minds outsmarted the opposition — in this case S.&D's. Following a minor l8~l setback a week earlier the Engineers downed a cocky over— confident S&D”s team 3—2. It seemed that S&D's couldn't penetrate the excellent defense of Us or get to the fine pitching of Steve Math. The finals saw the Engineers again set up a team, Korakin, only to knock then off. After allowing than a 6-3 headstart, the ' Engineers came back to score 3 runs in the bottom-of the 7th inning sending the game to extra innings.
