To-day is nomination day for the local legislature. Full tickets on each side are to run in St. John city, St. John County, King’s, Westmorland, Kent, Restigouche, Queen's, Charlotte, Carleton, and Victoria. Theriault, independent, will be elected by acclamation in Madawaska, which only returned one member. In Gloucester the Government ticket of two is opposed by an independent ticket. In Northumberland there is only one Opposition member for four seats. In Albert, which returns two, there is one candidate on each side and a third whe is claimed by both. In York, which returns four members,the Opposition ticket, is one man short. but H. H. Pitts is running on an Opposition ticket of his own as the nominee of the temperance and Orange orders In Sunbury, the only remaining constituency which returns two members, the Opposition have two candi- dates, but the Government has only one In Carleton Blair caused his Government ticket to be withdrawn yesterday, and made a@ new one composed of H.
