Mr. Austin Scales -was re-elected president of the board of trustees of the Prince County Hospital at the 44th annual meeting held last night in the Town Hall.

Judge L. G. Lewis was re-appoint» ed as first vice president, Mr. P. L. Morris was re-appointed as second vice president and Mr. William Hayward was re-appointed as third vice president. Mr. George R. Mac- Quarrle was re-appointed as sec- retary.

In his report to the meeting. president Scales paid tribute to the members of the trustee board for the splendid sup- port they had given him dur- ing the past year and was high i.ri his praise of the various wom- en's organizations for the outstand- ing assistance they had given the hospital. He said that without the aid of these organizations, the Ladies Aid of Summerside. the Ladies Aid of Kensington and of the R§C.A.F. 'Bta'l.i'6h,'th'e Okto Club, the Daughters ‘or the Empire and others, it would have been much more difficult to carry on the work of the hospital. ' He recalled that during the year the superintendent, Miss Schurman, had resigned and that her work had been carried on most effic- iently in the meantime by Miss Cameron. He said that Miss Mac- Lelian of New Waterford Hospital, New Waterford, N. S., had been engaged as superintendent and that she would Arrive to assume her duties about the first of July. Reporting for the building oom- mittes. Mr. J. Frank Arriett said that the committee is at present working on plans for the‘ new. nurses home and he stated "we have now reached 0 point where we are about ready to proceed with its construction."
