Y's Men's Bathing lloueo Ready Soon

Work- on decoration and repair n! the bathing house at the Rel-l- road Wharf. Summersirle. lrponsor- ed by the Summerslde Ys Men's Club is well under way. On Tucs- day evening the scene was a ven- table hive or activity, with a num- ber o! the Y's Men ail lending a hand. painting, cleaning and gm- erally repairing the bathing house ready for the season. The result ls a bathing house oi which the Y's Men and the town may well be proud.

The Y's Men's Club have al- ready engaged Mr. Bill Mills, a veteran o! the last war. as swim- ming instructor. Mr. Mills is pre- sently attending a course in first aid and lite-saving at Charlotte- town, so that parents need have no (ears regarding their children provided that they carry out .vir. Mills’ instructions.

It is hoped that the bathing house will be opened on July is‘... after which Mr. Mills will be lrl attendance seven days a week from l0 a.m. to 0 pm. In addition. Garth Toombs and John Gallant are taking the some , lite-saving course and it is planned to have them conduct swimming classes at nearby beaches, the Boy Scoav camp. etc.
