I don’t think Canadians will be satisfied unless negotiations are resumed. Some agreement has to be reached.

Canadians have expressed their dissatisfaction with the consti- tutional deal and so it should be put aside until the future. Government should become more concerned with the economy than with the constitution.

Wewill have to return to the negotiations eventually. There are too many unsettled issues and they won’t go away. But I think we need a rest, a long rest, before going back to these issues. Let’s focus on the economy fora while.

Although this referendum was supposed to be dealing with one issue, the constitution, it instead became a vehicle for other issues such as the economy and Canadian’s confidence in the federal government.

Yes, but if we love Canada we should encourage more extensive deliberation on these constitutional changes, less commercial- ized promotion, more information to get input from the public, and assurance that protection if human rights is legally binding. This is our future; we should be concerned and informed.
