The new members received their legion pins from Andy Mac- Eachern, provincial president of York Point.

The names of the comrades who brought in new members during the membership cam- paign were placed in a hat and three prizes drawn for by the

Work Starts 0n Debris Removal

In preparation for the con- struction of a new edifice, which will be built on the site of the one destroyed by fire on

. February 8th, the firm of M. F.

Schuman, began work yester- day morning on the cleaning up of the debris at the MacArthur Block.

Interviewed yesterday, Mrs. MacArthur, said she could give no details on when the new build ing would be started. Final ar- rangements with the Stedman Company who have purchased the land from the firm of Brace Mac- Kay 00., Ltd. have not been con- cluded as yet. Under arrange- ments now pending with the town of Summerside and the Stedman Company approximately 14 feet will be purchased from Mrs. Mac- Arthur by the town. on Summer Street and an equal amount pur- chased fnom the Stedman people by Mrs. MacArthur.

Mrs. Gallan was unhurt and was released from the Hospital, later in the day, but the other two passen- gers were badly shaken up and are being treated for cuts and bruises and held under observa- tion for a fewdays.
