JVUNEIIAL AT BELFAST -The funeral of the late Hector R. Ross was held yesterday afternoon from st. John's Church. Belfast. Services at the church and grave were conducted by the Rev. E. G. Evans. The pallbearers were: John A. Ross. Louis Ross. Frank A. Ross, Donald Ross. Robert Nicholson and Colin MacPherson. Interment was in the church cem- ctcry.

FUNERAL AT FLAT RIVER - The funeral of the late Albert J. MacDonald was held yesterday afternoon from his late residence in Flat River, where services were conducted at the home and grave by the Rev. Wallace MacPherson, assisted by the Rev. E. G. Evans. The burial was at Belfast Cemet- ery. The Masonic order attended in a body and their services were conducted by J. J. Larabce and Rev. E. C. Evans. Charlottetown. Pallbearers were: W. D. MacKen- zie. Damon Ross. D. J. Riley, Augustus Ross. Angus MacDonald and John Nicholson.

To GRADUATE - Among the graduates as dietetic: internes at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Mont- real, on Thursday, May 17, was Miss Mary McPhee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. McPhee. Charlottetown. Miss Mcphee is an honor graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the Mount St. Bernard School of Home Economics. She entered the Royal Victoria Hospital last year for post graduate work in delet- cblcs.

FUNERAL YESTERDAY - The funeral of the late Percy Aillcck of Mt. Stewart was held yester- day morning from St. Andrew's Church where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the Rev. T. Campbell, assisted by the R:-v. B. Croken, who also conducted the service at the grave. The pail-bearers were. John M.cKe.:r- nay. Earl Jay. W. L. MacLcod, John McAskill, Daniel Birt, Reg. inald Walsh. The interment was in the church cemetery.

RECEIVE SAD NEWS - Mr. and Mrs. George I. Crawford have received from England the tragic news of the sudden death, due to an injury received on the cricket field, or their son-in-law. Norman Huntlngdon Fairclough. He leaves to mourn besides his sorrowing wife. three children, Barbara. David and Diane; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Fair- clough, sr., and one sister Eliza- beth.

. The regular monthly meeting oi the Women's Missionary Society of Freetown Presbyterian Church was held in the church on Wednesday afternoon, May 2, with Mrs. John Paynter presiding. The theme for the meeting was "In every nation he that feareth Him and walketh righteousness is accepted with Him."

The ” opened with the call to worship. Isaiah 35:14. The psalm. "Ali Lands to God. in Joy- tul Sounds" was sung. The script- ure . sding from Acts 10 :34-43 was read responsively. An exposition on the scripture reading was pre- sented by Mrs. Cecil Paynter. Prayer was offered by Mrs. George Jardine. Hymn. "Come. Let U8 Sing of a Wonderful Love" was sung.

Nine members I ended to roll call which was answered with a verse of Scripture. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. A special collection was taken up at this meeting to be sent to-Mrs. B. L. Linkletter. Kensing- ton. The regular olierlng and egg collection was received also.

On Tuesday. April 10th, 1951. there passed peacefully away at her home in Pinette. Mrs. Doug- Iid Cantelo. Mrs. Cantelo. who was in her eighty-fourth year was s liie-long and highly respected citizen of the Belfast District.

Funeral services were conducted from her late home by Rev. Dr. R. S. Quigley or St. John's Pres- byterian Ch-urch, Beilast. A large gathering or friends met to pay their last respects and show the high esteem in which the de- ceased was held. The following hymns were sung: What a Friend We Have in Jesus, Abide With Me, Safe in the Arms or Jesus.

Interment took place in the
