The pair made their escape through coal chutes leadin from the basement under the court house building. They were arrested after travelling some four miles. It is believed they took to the woods on the edge of the town and kept in woods while following the railway line.

SOURIS — A coroner‘s jury here last night exonerated the driver from blame in the death of Rollin Arthur Jenkins here May 15.
The boy was killed by a stat- ion wagon driven by Melvin Blaisdell at the corner of Main and Harbor Streets.
The child. who was three and a half years old. was the son of Mr. an Mrs. Roland Jenkins of Souris.
Coroner was Dr. G.S.A. Inman of Montague. The crown was represented by Deputy Attorney General J. Arthur McGuigan.
Five witnesses were heard. They were Dr. Edward Kass- ner. Souris. Damien John Mac~ Donald. Souris. Melvin Blais- dell. Red House. Mrs. Carrie Wilson. Dingwells Mills and Constable James A. Cox of the RCMP.
