Even such moderate liberal papers as the Vossieche Zeitung eay that Germany would pot yield one hectare of Alsace-Lorrane for all the Fre och colonies. All the papers advise France to drop altogether the idea of recovering those provinces, If that is done, then say that France may become a good friend of Germany and may resume her normal honoured place among the nations
