MONTREAL, June 16- (OP)—— Pluses and minuses were about mixed with no- dcfinite trends es- tablished amoing selected issues in dull trading on the stock exchange and curb market today. The list was narrow and changes were mostly fractional.

The average index of the stock exchange listed papers up .52 to 321.99, industrials up .06 to 121.3. banks off .01 to 27.00 and golds up .01 to 77.7. Trading in the in- dustrials was slow with approxi- mately 29,700 shares recorded at the close. The mines were more active with approximately 173.700 shares traded. g

During today's session 1.260 shares of Donnacona were traded ll‘- llie paper section closntg at 18 up 1-2. Also active was Consoli- dated up l-S at l2. st. Lawrence Corp. slipped 3-8. closing at 11 ‘l-B, ultile Great Lakes lost l-8 at 14 3-4 and B. C. Forest l-S at 3 1-2. LIVERPOOL, N. S., Jung 16 _. (OP) _ The Mersey Paper Com- pany, Ltd. lvith mills at Liver- pool, had a. net profit of $853,040 and an earned surplus of $2,008,- 411. the 18th annual report said today.

Net profit for the year before taxes was $1,635,763.

Gross profits after depletion were $2,423,237, interest on the funded debt and ships’ mortgages leaving a balance of $2,316,353. This figure. less provision of $680,- 589, for depreciation, gave the net. profit before taxes.

The consolidated balance shoot showed assets of 819,003,741.

NEW YORK. June 18—(AP)— The stock market held its equili- brium today despite s diet of un- favorable news toplled by the Pre- sident's veto of the tax reduction bill.

Except for s few wtide movers, price changes generally were lim- ited io fractions.

The Associated Press OO-stock composite finished ahead .1 of s point on the day at 03.4.

McIntyre added to early losses andwiosed off one point among Canadian issues which generally gave up fractions. Canadian Pael- fic, up l-S at mid-day, closed un- changed. Dome Mines, off 1-4 at noon, was down 1-2. Distillers sesgram also was down l-Z. On the curb, Lake Shore lost 1-4.
