AUSTIN O’BRIEN

Friends and relatives were shocked and saddened to learn on Saturday, November 8 that Aus- tln O’Brien of Sununersidc and formerly of Elmsdale had passed in his stern-a1 reward in the Prlnce County Hospital following an 111- ness of a few hours.

The deceased, a son of the late Dennis O’Brien and his wife Jane MacOartlhy, was born on Septem- ber 11, 1866 at Elmsdale. where he lived the most of his lib. As a young man he went to Rumford, Maine, where he was employed in the mills, returning to the old homestead about 45 years ago where he was engaged in farming until his retirement three years ago when he moved to Summer- side with his daughter and son-in- law.

On July 1. 1918, he married MISS (“sentrurle O’Halloran who prede- ceased him by 16 years.

Of a kind and jovial disposition Austin will be missed by his im- mediate family and especially by his grandchildren wbmn he dearly loved. He was a good neighbor and always willing and ready to give a helping hand.

He leaves to mourn two daugh- ters, Irene, Mrs.‘FIred MacKinmon, Summerside; and Audrey, Mrs. Clifford Shea, St. Louis; sixteen grandchildren, four sisters and one brother, namely: Zita, Mrs. Charles Donnell, Los Angeles, California; Etta, Mrs. Wilfred Gavin, at present in Wagoner, Ok- lahoma: Annie, Mrs. Archibald
