Mr. Barclay, Convener of the Budge-t Committee, gave credit to the Budget Secretary for his ardl- uous work throughout the past year, He stressed the need of every member of the Church 8mm! JAMES N. MUTLOW

‘There passed peacefully away at his home in Charlottetown on May 23rd James N. Mutlow in his sixty- third year. Although not of a. robust constitution for some years, the late Mr. Mutlow enjoyed compar- atively good health until last fall, when he was forced to retire from business. His sickness, although of a serious nature was not considered fatal by those outside his own household and his death, which oc- curred after he was bedfast only three days, came as a. shock to his friends and relatives.

The late Mr. Mutlow was born in Mlllview, the third son of the late Thomas Mutlow and his wife Annie Hardy. After his marriage to Maria Jenkins, eldest daughter of the late Benjamin Jenkins and his wife Mary Gay, he settled on a. farm in Mlllview where he lived for a hum‘- ber- of years. Later in life he moved to Charlottetown with his wife, when he resided tlll his death. The deceased was a man of ex- ceptionally character, honorable and upright in all his dealings (of which many are able to testify of him) and his quiet, unassuming manner won for hlrn s. host of friends as was plainly visible st his funeral where such a number were present and with saddened hearts followed the remains to their last resting place.

In his home he was a kind hus- band and was of s. cheerful dispo- sition. Although suffering c. great deal at times, he was seldom heard to complain, being fully assured as the Apostle-"All things work to- gether for good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose."

The deceased was a firm believer in the Church of Scotland in the province, and much could be said of the departed. He made it an un- erring rule to attend his church whenever possible and the great lesson of his life was his true faith and devotion towards things sacred-
