SIR. — Please allow me to voice my opinion on the orders given to the Charlottetown city police to forbid the children in the area around the Charlotte- town Kinsmen Park the right to play baseball.

On several occasions the pol- ice have been called to clear the park of young “ball players" because of the danger of break- ing a window or perhaps dis- turbing someone who wants'to have a quiet spell in their yard.

The chances of breaking a window are relatively slim in the spacious park and I invite anyone who suppors te pro- hibiting of ball playing in this park to answer the following question:

Is a broken window more ser- ious an outlook than a broken bodily injury

ih may occur If the child- ren are denied the rights to the park and take their ball game into the street?

Some may say ‘send them to the park to play ball.‘ but what parents want to send their six and seven year old children so

far away from home to play their little innocent game of hell.
