The third estimate of the 1M7 Cnllolllllli ilotuio crop illls been re~ leased by the Dominion Buleull of Statistics on November 14th. Pro- duction is now estimated at 74.371000 busilcis, 2% or 1.834.000 bushell larger than the previous forecast but. still about 7’; smaller than fill comparatively large crop of 799381100 bushels in 1946. Tho increase, ai compared with the previous estimate. is due largely to better yields than anticipated earlier ill the season in Prince Edward Island, New Brutu- wick and Alberta although these tverc partially nffsct by declines in Nova Scotia.
