A couple of times in the past few months the newspaper has received complaints fromgmembers of the radio staff. The complaints were in the form of statements of disapproval of the way in which the radio exective handled disagreements between them— selves and some of the radio staff. In the first iastance we neglected to follow up the complaint and thus only a few people on campus knew what was going on. This last complaint will not be treated the same way.

Lately a DJ at the radio station was fired for making some very uncom- piimentary remarks about the exective of the radio station and also some even worse remarks about this univer— sity. He was also accused of useing very bad English in doing so. Be that as it may, he could have been right 'in what he said or he could have been wrong but at least he had the right Aof defending his actions before a hearing. This was one of the argument ‘9 used by this writer when he talked

about the action taken by the Exectiv ' e of the radio.The Union on the other hand has the miss guided opinion that they can authorize or condon a stud—' any being fired. Since this whole situation arose the person in quest- ion wrote an article to the newspap- er complaining about the injustice of the whole matter. In such an instance he was completely within his rightsn
