The work will be commenced without delay.”

S. Tait, purser of the steamer St. Olaf, who was acting purser of the Lunenburg on the trip on

which the bag was lost. We, therefore , withdraw the report,based upon such mis- information published by Toe Examiner on the 31st August last, and any reflection upon the character of Mr. Tait which may therein be contained.
