SacRED Concert.—The sacred concert given at St. Peter’s last evening by St. Dunstan’s choir was very successful. There was a goed audience, and the ladies and gentlemen who took part acquitted themselves well. The members of the choir returned to the city this forenvon.

Expensive TRorrers.—The Woodward and Shanklin’s sale at Lexivgton, Ky., was en- livened on the closing day by the offering of five choicely-bred trotters, the property of M. Salisb'ry, of Pleasonton, Cal. The gem of the sale was Margaret S., 2 124, the fastest mare ever sold at public auction. H. S. Henry Morriaville, ae started her at $5,000. She was quickly run yp to $10,000, he bidders being Don J.
