I would like to thank the two young girls who kindly rescued my un-lost, un-abandoned dog outside the Robertson Library doors. However, ‘‘Lady’’ was merely following my instructions to wait for me while I went to make a photocopy. Normally I tie her, but it was too cold to tie her up and besides [had taken the retractable leash with the nylon cord, Plus, Lady isa smart dog: she associates those two benches with tethering, not sitting, so she wouldn’t go within five feet of them.

Why dol bring her? Lady loves var rides. Lady likes to accompany me. Lady is envious of the fact that I can enter the portals of higher education, whilst she must content herself with the odd trip to the RL or the Main Building, She can’t wait until she qualifies as a mature centennial student, Right now she is approximately 3 1/2 years old or about thirty in doggy years,

My consternation when I found her missing was that someone had turned her in to the Humane Society from whence she came and where she was known as Scotchie, a rib-thin, abandoned/lost, ten-month old female. However, these two young Bernardines had only the purest of intentions, even though it was a case of the Boy Scout helping the old lady cross the street when she didn’t want to, They took Lady to the Hall, phoned my home, got my husband in a dither because he thought we had gone to Canadian Tire. (We don’t always inform him about our little side trips.) When he reached me there to say that Lady was lost and found at the library, I reassured him that she was safely in the car.

So, thanks girls, keep up the good work. Next time, the animal you rescue might indeed be lost. But if anyone sees a black and white friendly female (4 legged) at the RL, she is only waiting for me,

As aparent who used the Communiversity basketball program, [wanted to pass along my compliments to the students who run it. My daughter is only seven, this is her first exposure to basketball, and she loves it.

In my experience as a parent, kids are enthusiastic about what they participate in often because they like ‘‘the coach(es)’’. |have met some of you and I like the way you like the kids, are friendly and fun-loving with them, and that you give them individual attention. I like the way you interact with them, greet hem, and say good-bye and because of your behaviour, I think my child is more keen and hence, will learn more.
