Annual Meeting

; The annual meeting or Norboro ;Women'.I Institute was held on Tuesday evening November llth, at the home of Miss Harriet Glover.

The president. Mrs. Alhert Mur- ph.V. presided and the meeting op- ened by singing the Island Hymn and repeating the Creed in unison.

Fourteen members responded to the roll call by paying their mem- bership fees. There were two visit. me present.

The minutes of the last regular and last annual meetings were read and approved. The president then presented her report in which she reviewed the activities of the past year and in closing thanked the members for their help and c')-op- eration. The financial statement was given by the secretary-treasun or. Mrs. John Andrews.

The visiting committee reported

no calls. The correspondence which vywas read included a receipt for a idonatlon to the Salvation Army. a lreceipt for Institute News. a letter of thanks from Mrs. Hugh Stewart land a. letter tram Dr. L. G. Dewar iexpresaing the sincere thanks of ithe Canadian Cancer Society for .the splendid canvass made or Nor- iboro school district. The meeting adjourned with the National Anthem, alter which dainty refreshments were served by the hostess during the pleasant social hour which followed the meeting.

The minutes of the last annual meeting and the previous monthly meeting were read, approved and signed. The president then gave her address, thanking all members for their co-operation and kindness to her during her term of office. The sick committee reported no calls were necessary during the month and the hall committee reported.
