We learn from the fishermen that the cook house at the shore hare will be in operation this spring to servo meals to the fishermen. Mr. Jenkins who pur- -chased the old Cox Packing will operate the cook house for the fishermen; and that well known cook. Mrs. Vincent MoGrath. will be head cook.

Mr. John L. Laybolt. who left the seaside some years ago to operate a grocery ” ' has turned his thoughts to the sea again. Once a fisherman. always a fisherman. he says. But of course he will still keep the store for operation after the season is OVEI”.

Mr. Joe MacDonald. who took lup farming hero some years ago has also changed his mind and sold out his stock. he too will be at the shore this spring for the lobster season.

Potatoes have being moving fast during the past two weeks. Tractors and trucks are busy daily hauling thevaluable product to the Souris, Elmira and East Baltic shipping points.

A pageant was put on by the members and pupils of the East Baltic Sunday School on April 10th. A large crowd were in attendance despite the muddy roads and this pageant was recently repeated in the Kingshoro Baptist Church.

Fresh herring for lobster bait will he brought hero from the Magdalen Islands this week and maybe some from the western sec- tions of this Province.

A report circulated here quite sometime ago to the effect that a fonner resident of Bristol. Mr. George Hume, had passed away two years ago in the U. S. A. is untrue. We have contacted our good old friend in Michigan. U. S. A. and learn both he and Mrs. Hume. despite the fact they are both over eighty are still very smart and reside with their two daughters. Alice and Gracie. Mr. and Mrs. Hume with their two daughters. Alice and Gracie. Mr. and Mrs. Hume with their daughter Gracie left here away back in 1918. thirty seven years ago. Mr. Hume has never been back nor has his daughters; but Mrs. Hume was here a few years ago. Their old home is the same today as when they sold; and the mail boxes built by Mr. Hume when he was post master remain the same as does his tailoring counter here. One daughter Alice who left here before here parents has never been back; another daughter resides in Charlottetown.

Mrs. Eugene Sinnott. who has been in Boston. for several weeks with her mother and other mem- bers of her family is expected home early next week. She says siiie is having a wonderful vaca- ton.
